Mara Evenstar, MTP, M.Ed.



Mara is co-owner of Evenstar’s Chalice, a metaphysical store in Ypsilanti, MI, and she is Director of Evenstar Institute which provides programming in service to personal growth and the evolution of consciousness. 

Through her work, she serves individuals going through transformative life experiences as well as supporting the transformation of our society and world. Her practice is supported by knowledge of the human condition through studies in psychology, religion and spirituality, anthropology, integral theory, education and the healing arts. She holds a Master Degree of Transpersonal Psychology with a certification in Spiritual Psychology and a Master of Education focusing on Leadership and Social Transformation. She previously taught psychology at Washtenaw Community College and Siena Heights University.  Her practice is grounded in professional, real-world experience with research and development in education, business, and technology.

Mara has been a Reiki Master Teacher for 25 years and is also a certified Realization Process teacher. She is an ordained Priestess in the Order of Melchizedek through The Sanctuary of the Beloved and provides celebrant services for private ceremonies and serves her community as a ritual priestess for more public ceremony and ritual. She is the Director of Conscious Rites, a program of The Intentional Living Collective. The mission of Conscious Rites is to use ritual and ceremony in meaningful ways to foster deeper awareness, connection and conscious evolution,

In 2010, she co-founded Sophia Unfolds with her daughter Andrea. Sophia Unfolds is dedicated to connecting with and empowering the Divine Feminine in us all. Through this organization we offer full moon and wheel of the year gatherings, retreats, and goddess / sister circles. 

Most of Mara's work is done with and through these organizations. However, she does create space for a small practice working with individuals supporting them on their journey.
