Bio / Self introduction
Hi, my name is Tami and I would like to tell you a bit about my journey. One day, as I headed home from work, I was rear-ended. This was the first of many in a chain of car accidents, none of which I caused through my own negligence. The next rear end accident was almost 3 months later to the day. I lost all of my healing progress and continued to miss the guidance (to be present in my life). These led to much physical discomfort, a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, and the first of two bi-lateral TMJ surgeries. I was angry, in pain, frustrated, and full of blame. I kept asking “Why is this happening to me?” I embraced my victimhood! Fast-forward a hand full of car accidents later and on to my second bi-lateral TMJ surgery, still viewing all events as a victim. I also received 2 herniated discs in my neck from these events. Throughout these years, at least a decade, I did not employ self-care. My diet was loaded with empty calories and little in the way of nutrition, so obviously this added to my dilemma. I did radically alter my diet some years later and support myself with proper balanced nutrients. I left a job loaded with toxicity. Though I hadn’t had any accidents in about 10 years, again I was rear-ended, then a few months later, I was diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid, and further improved my nutritional support choosing a holistic approach to this next hurdle. Then I lost my Mom, unexpectedly, and took a bit of a slide backward with nutrition choosing to eat comfort foods. My body reminded me of how I need to eat well to support me, so I got back to it. Another 10 years passed and I lost my Dad brutally and unexpectedly. It was a devastating blow. A few short months after this, guess what happened? Yup, another car accident. This was followed by putting down our kitty, and shortly after this, our last Yorkie passed. I was so very lost! I was extremely overwhelmed, very depressed, and knew I needed to make drastic changes to move forward.
As mentioned, I had changed my diet quite a lot prior to the cancer diagnosis, this only encouraged me to delve deeper into nutritional support. From there, I reintroduced exercise into my life and fell in love with Pilates. It resonated so intensely that I was moved to learn to teach it. Shortly after, I added Yoga to my toolbox. Both are amazing and offer different yet complementary options. Yet, something was still missing. I was called to dive into energy work and added the following certifications: Advanced Akashic Records, Global Healing (group Akashic Records), Reiki I, II, and III, and Crystal Healing. I will be a perpetual student and continue to learn, heal, and grow.
Throughout all of my journey, I have healed myself. I am now a huge advocate for self-care and self-love! Fibromyalgia is no longer an issue, the herniations in my neck are managed and rarely limit any activities. Do I still get angry? Absolutely! Though now my anger is ‘short and sweet’ as opposed to dominating days, weeks, or even months. Feel afraid? Of course, things that make us uncomfortable show where we can do better! Did many toxic people leave my life? Yes! Yes, indeed and new individuals who vibrate closely to me arrived. I embrace each day and every moment, seeking the magic. This has transformed me, my thoughts, and my life.
If you have read my story, I would like to thank you for the precious gift of your time, I am honored! Have a Magical Day!
