You Have Magic Powers of Maturity

But most of the world is hoping you won't notice, so they've written a lot of articles about what you cannot do, why you should be careful, how you should dress, and the many, many ways you must monitor your physical decline.

You have powerful wisdom and experience to bring to whatever it is you love.  You have more discretion over your free time and maybe your money.  You have healthy purchasing power, vote power, You offer huge benefits to the world around you, your family, yourself.  You can fulfill a purpose beyond Bunco (not that there's anything wrong with Bunco.)  Never mind the power of your spirit to create whatever it is you love.  There is treasure at your fingertips!

But it's a secret.  It's hidden in plain sight in an online article called "How to feel relevant when you're over 60."

I've been seeking secrets of creative power since I was a teenager, but I have been learning how to truly get  results with it in my maturity.  And even then, I've had to navigate a minefield of discouraging beliefs and homely images about being mature.  Forget those!  Now is the time to create the dreams you couldn't get to before.  Now you can use your open mind to do what you truly love.  And when you create what you want without compromise, it will energise and delight you.  Now is the time to learn to use your intuition and create magic.  

The world is looking pretty wonky to me these days and maybe I could make the world a better place, but I'm caught in a YouTube debate about whether gray hair makes me look old, and wondering if my joints are up for replacement.  Spiritual awareness?  Put on a babushka and light a candle for your gentle spirit.  (Seriously?  Who wrote this stuff?)

Thank Heaven for AARP posting some constructive antidotes to the message that aging (essentially living)  is a problem..

But you might be tempted to use your magic powers of maturity to run away from your age?  It doesn't work.  If you are concerned about being relevant, I'm guessing you are most likely not relevant.  How to correct this problem? The answer is, you can't.  The number of years you have been on the planet is not a problem.

But what  you can do is create a corner of the planet that is your version of heaven on earth.

You cannot move toward magic while running away from age.  You can turn your attention away from the disempowering messages.  Put your attention on what you desire. My point is that it's really very hard to move forward and embrace what you love when you are backing away from your life.  My greater point is that if you start practicing magic now, you won't care so much about the minutia of maturity.  You will be having too much fun.

Further, recognize the divinity within you.  It's only too late if you don't start now.   Recognize your spirit.  Tap into the part that knows all, is connected to all, and can create your life anew.

Perhaps, just perhaps, there is nothing to fear!

Perhaps there might be some things to which you can look forward.

Perhaps, just perhaps, what you love to do is exactly what the world is seeking.  That would be a bonus.

Powerful and important?  Yep!  Start learning and using your superpowers.
