Gentle reminders
There is some magic in slowing down. Consciousness relaxes into awareness. Life moves from the head to the heart.
There is a satisfaction in showing kindness that is unlike any other joy. Unselfish service to others leaves you feeling good about yourself...Note to self: If I want to feel good, all I need to do is be kind. It is that easy.
In Hinduism, heart consciousness is called Anahata, which is the name of the chakra in the heart region. According to their belief, the heart is the center of compassion, altruism, forgiveness, and non-judgmental acceptance. It is in this heart consciousness where unconditional love manifests, and where personal responsibility arises, and where people engage in selfless kindness toward others.
From ReSurfacing®: Techniques for Exploring Consciousness
One student's story
"With each day my hope grew and I began re-learning that I am the helm of deciding what I experience. Knowing that I have been choosing what I experience as dreadful, was not debilitating, but a source of great hope. If I can feel such despair, I can surely change it to feel hope, get back my zest for living and alter the course of my life. The Avatar® Course rapidly began changing my life on a daily basis. I felt alive and optimistic; there remained no boundaries or limits as to what I could create, and I knew this not just as an intellectual idea, but felt it experientially. I am experiencing major shifts in my life." -Devsurabhee Y.
