THE AFTERSHOCK

An aftershock is the tremor that follows a major earthquake. Sometimes, life has aftershocks too, those deep emotional waves that come after something profound has changed us.

For me, that aftershock was the passing of my mother, Inés, on September 1st.
After years of illness, watching such a vibrant and active woman slowly leave this physical life was one of the most difficult experiences I have ever faced. It taught me about surrender, faith, compassion, and the sacredness of simply being present.

My relationship with my mother was not always easy or as close as I wished it had been. There were hurts, regrets, misunderstandings, and things left unsaid. But as her consciousness faded, something beautiful opened within me: a door to forgiveness.

Forgiveness from me to her.
Forgiveness from her to me.
And forgiveness for all the pain that may have been carried throughout her life.

Through Pranic Healing and prayer, I was grateful to accompany her during her final days, to help release resentment, anger, and attachments, and to lovingly ask our ancestors, angels, and archangels to guide her home.

And she left peacefully.

Mom, I honor your life, your struggles, your lessons, and the love we shared.
I release you with love and gratitude.
May you be free.
May you be at peace.
May you be surrounded by light.
Thank you for being my mother.
Your journey home has begun.

FAITH OVER FEAR

You may have heard about the powerful earthquake we experienced here in Colombia, truly something I have never experienced before.

It was not only the violent shaking of the earth beneath us, but also a profound shaking within me as I faced the possibility of lives being lost and homes being destroyed. For what felt like an eternity, it seemed as though everything had stopped. And then, after that frightening minute, came a sense of a new beginning, a second chance, and a profound awareness of the Divine presence surrounding us.

As the earth was moving beneath our feet, many of us instinctively prayed and surrendered. I sat on the ground, recited the Pranic Healing Great Invocation, and gently pleaded with Mother Earth to do what she needed to do for herself, while asking that the impact on human beings, animals, and homes be as minimal as possible.

My faith in the Divine and in the power of Pranic Healing has supported me and my loved ones, both physically and spiritually, time and time again. Moments like this remind me that when we can move from fear into faith, even in the midst of uncertainty, we can find a place of peace, calm, and renewal.

Something else touched me deeply. Any frustration, anger, annoyance or feelings of ungratefulness I had been carrying before the earthquake simply fell away. What remained was gratitude, compassion, humility and amazing faith.

At the same time, my heart is especially with those who have suffered loss, with those who have lost loved ones, homes, a sense of security, or simply the feeling that tomorrow will be okay. For those who are grieving, fear and sorrow are real, and they deserve our compassion, presence, and support. May we hold space for one another without judgment and offer whatever comfort and practical help we can.

Thank you to everyone who has chosen to spread the energy of Faith over Fear through your prayers, loving thoughts, and acts of compassion for our beloved Colombia and for all those around the world who are experiencing hardship because of natural disasters, war, displacement, or loss.

May our collective prayers bring strength to those who are suffering, comfort to those who are grieving, protection to those who are vulnerable, and peace to all beings.

WHY NOT GROWING THE GOOD FEELING OF SUPPORTING OTHERS?

Have you ever felt that beautiful satisfaction of doing something good for others? When was the last time that happened? Was it today, yesterday, a year ago? I sure hope that it has been very recent for you. The reason why you get that satisfying feeling while doing something good for someone or something, yes, this includes the Earth, animals or humans is because you are doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. Our purpose in this world is to help each other, to lift each other up. So, naturally, when you support another in any way you receive nothing but good energy, great vibes, happy feelings, peacefulness, a lighted heart and most likely gratefulness, all in one happy package.

Because we are meant to be happy beings, the idea is that you keep going on doing more and more of it. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time or all of your money. Small steps are better than no steps at all. All of us have the drive to help each other and most of us do not know how. It is possible that the type of work you chose may not be serving others the way you thought it would or the way that’s satisfying for your soul. Maybe it doesn’t have to do with changing your work just yet, perhaps only start with gathering information about what you may like and then go on joining a meeting or a class. Always be open to new ideas and you will be surprised to find that the event, the activity, the group that you thought you may not like or you were unsure about is exactly what you have been looking for and what fills you with joy and community and service, something we need more of at all times!

That is what I found in Pranic Healing, not just learning new skills, more healing modalities or the wonderful healers I get to connect with and the great sense of community but the amazing connection with Divine power and with that, the great service that we all get to provide to others (Earth, animals and humans). That feeling is priceless and something I treasure and intend to increase substantially for years to come.

Alison Sahoo was my first teacher and I am sure you will enjoy her gentle teachings as much as I did.
