The Wesak Festival: Awakening to the Strongest Full Moon of the Year

Wesak (or Vesak) is often considered the most significant spiritual event of the year. Known as the "Festival of the Buddha," it commemorates his birth, enlightenment, and physical passing, all of which are said to have occurred on this same lunar date.

Wesak takes place during the Full Moon of Taurus (occurring on May 1st, 2026, peaking at 1:23 pm EST). It is believed that during this specific alignment, a massive downpouring of spiritual energy—divine light, love, and power—is released onto the Earth, creating a unique "open door" for humanity. It is a time when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is at its thinnest, making it an extraordinary opportunity for:

Deep Meditation: Tapping into energies that are significantly more potent than a typical full moon.
Purification: Clearing away old patterns and "grayish" energies to make room for new growth.
World Service: Acting as a channel to bless the entire earth with peace, healing, and goodwill.

Many people observe the day by:
Maintaining Inner Stillness: Practicing mindfulness and avoiding unnecessary conflict.
Acts of Charity: Giving to those in need to align with the energy of compassion.
Group Meditation: Joining others at the exact time of the full moon to maximize the spiritual "reception."

The East Coast Wesak celebration begins at 9:00 am. To join the free Zoom event with Master Glenn and Master Marilag, register at: https://bit.ly/WESAK-2026
